Creating fertile soils

Exceptional soil amendment

Clay that feeds your soil

100% natural soil improver with montmorillonite clay minerals for healthy, fertile soils.

Benefits

  • Increases CEC of soils

  • Improves water absorption

  • Improves light and sandy soils

  • Better nutrient uptake by crops

  • Used in making Bokashi

Edasil is a naturally occurring mineral made from bentonite clay. It distinguishes itself from other clays thanks to its high Montmorillonite content. This makes Edasil an exceptional soil amendment or nutrient binder in Bokashi.

Montmorillonite clay has the largest surface area of any clay. This means that when added to the soil or Bokashi heap it can bind more nutrients, minerals and most importantly water. This ability to bind and hold onto things increases the C.E.C. You should consider the C.E.C like you do a battery. The bigger the battery the more energy it can hold. The greater the C.E.C the more nutrients it can hold.

This is especially important with the more extreme weather events we are witnessing. This means less flooding in the winter and less impact form drought in the summer. Edasil can be applied to fields with animals still grazing
